There are classrooms on the first floor of a two-storey Educational Establishment and a rehabilitation center on the second floor. There are multifunctional rooms, labs for group therapy and individual work with a social worker. A library is also available for the inmates. Equipment has been renewed. The new school is designed to meet the needs of up to 100 pupils.
Educational process is carried out by Public School 123 within the framework of the program “Access to Education in Penitentiary Establishments”. 22 teachers are employed, most of them are certified.
All juveniles with educational needs attend classes. Standard class register is used and timetable and duration of the lessons meet National Curriculum standards. Details of educational process are laid out in the School Curriculum of Public School 123.
Juveniles are provided with free textbooks by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. Library of the Establishment received different books from the Ministry (during the visit of Giorgi Margvealshvili) as a gift.
Every pupil is able to receive education that meets the standards of the National Curriculum (in the form of externat in case of necessity). They pass examinations and receive a certificate of general Education. Released juveniles are eligible to continue their studies in Public School 123 as well as other schools, vocational and higher education institutions. Currently, there are 43 inmates in №11 Special Establishment. 90% are of school age.
