Little patients will study in suitable conditions

Educational services will be provided at M.Iashvili Children Central Hospital for the children suffering from leukemia within Inclusive Education Promotion Program. Today, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Tamar Sanikidze and Minister of Labor, Health and Social Affairs Davit Sergeenko visited the site and the environment for the children, checked the classroom and   familiarized themselves with its functions together with onco-hemathology professors from Pittsburgh University Clinic.

Children who have been unable to attend classes for months, will be provided with educational services from the nearby Public School 147. Teachers from the School shall go to the Clinic and give lessons.

The classroom was equipped by the Ministry of Education anad Science of Georgia. Currently, there are 27 children at the Hospital, 14 of them are of school age (the number of children vary).

The children were evaluated by a multidisciplinary team. The team members have held a meeting with the teachers and parents and consulted them on certain issues. Individual curriculum will be created taking into consideration all educational needs of the children and their individual skills based on National Curriculum for the purpose of ensuring quality education process, with the help of cooperation among teachers, parents and multidisciplinary team members.

Psychological service shall provide assistance in the course of educational process. The service is financed by Soros Foundation. Foreign Language learning (online) company handed free sets for learning language to the pupils. 

The aim of the joint project is to integrate children in the society as soon as soon as possible after the rehabilitation process.
