53 persons with special educational needs have registered for the autumn semester 2013. Their integration in vocational education system will be ensured by means of professional skills test. This process aims at defining concrete vocational programs. Today, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Ketevan Natriashvili attended the process of testing.
Relevant conditions are created in vocational education institutions for persons with special education needs, so they are able to try desired vocational educational programs (maximum 3). Evaluation of the needs has been carried out; inclusive education specialists employed in vocational education institutions have planned the activities for each vocation. These activities are carried out successfully.
Inclusive vocational education will encourage realization of capabilities of persons with special vocational needs, development of professional skills which lead to better possibilities for future employment.
Vocational education of persons with special educational needs is carried out in the framework of the joint initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Education and Research of Norway. 18 specialists are working in 6 vocational education institutions to ensure effective inclusive vocational education process. The process monitoring is also carried out.
