Ms. Manana was born in Sokhumi. After graduating from Sokhumi physics-mathematical faculty of Sokhumi Pedagogical University with diploma of honors, she continued her post-graduate studies. Manana Dolidze worked at Sokhumi Pedagogic University as a Department assistant, a programist at the Institute of Applied Mathematics and a lecturer at Sokhumi Institute of Subtropical Cultures.

On September 23, 1993 Manana Dolidze fled from burning Sokhumi with two little children and her elderly father. She walked Chuberi Pass. “then…the worst years and suffering started and it is still so bitter. Sohkumi – this is an enormous pain, that will never pass” – recalls Ms. Manana.

Manan Dolidze has been working as a maths teacher at Public School 51 since 2000. Her lessons are exceptionally interesting and full of novelties, she is the author of a number of projects.

Pectoral Award “Amagdari” was established for special merits in upbringing of future generations. The aim is to raise motivation of those who are employed in the field of education.  The Ministry shall award 10 outstanding teachers of Georgian public schools.
