The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia organized the 1st International Conference “Pre-School Education in Georgia- Reality and Prospects” with the support of UNICEF. The Conference was opened by Deputy Minister Lia Gigauri.
The aim of the Conference was to identify the problems in the field of pre-school education, work on the ways of solving these problems and propose recommendations that will be taken into consideration in the process of unified State vision and Policy elaboration.

Apart from Georgian experts and representatives of academic circles, the Conference was also attended by the Polish experts. They made a review of activities of five-year cooperation with Georgia and shared Poland’s experience in the field of pre-school education.
A workshop for young researchers from Georgian universities will be organized in October. The workshop will enable the students interested in pre-school education to share information and study results in the field of pre-school education.
These activities will help to emphasize existing problems and give start to the main directions in the field of pre-school education based on the recommendations.
