American instructors train Georgian Resource Officers

Representatives of National Association of School Resource Officers are visiting Georgia. Georgian Resource Officers and psychologists are being trained by the Association instructors during five days. Deputy Minister of Education and Science Lia Gigauri and Head of the Office of Resource Officers of Educational Institutions Vakhtang Meipariani attended opening of the training. 

NASRO instructors are sharing experience of school safety officers and activities of NASRO to Georgian Resource Officers and psychologists. The training course covers educational programs aimed at reducing crime, drug abuse, violence and providing of safe school environment. After the end of the training course, participants will be awarded with certificates by James Canady, NASRO Executive Director.

National Association of School Resource Officers -NASRO represents a large educational organization of certified law enforcement officers, school safety and educational personnel, among them, teachers and school administrators. NASRO carries out and implements innovative approaches and popularizes safe school programs not only in the USA but outside America.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia has been cooperating with NASRO since 2011.
