A Memorandum signed with State Oil Company of Azerbaijan

Today, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Tamar Sanikidze and CEO of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the aim of implementing joint projects.

As Tamar Sanikidze stated, it is of outmost importance to involve private sector in education of young people together with the State, the Memorandum will give them additional opportunities to deepen knowledge and become professionals.

The Memorandum is focused on encouragement of planned projects and activities in the fields of higher, vocational and general education.

Based on the agreement, the Parties express their readiness to plan and implement joint projects, encourage development of partnership relations and cooperate in the following directions:

Higher Education:

The Ministry of Education and Science shall select 30 successful bachelor students, they will be awarded with monthly stipend amounting 300 GEL by SOCAR –Azerbaijan. 

Vocational Education

The Ministry, based on the request of SOCAR, shall elaborate needs-oriented training programs in the field of vocational education. SOCAR –Azerbaijan shall provide long-term trainings for students of State vocational education institutions.

General Education

The Parties shall cooperate in the field of General Education in the direction of improving material-technical base.
