Working meeting on “Recognition of Informal Education”

Training Foundation (ETF) organized a working meeting on the topic of
“Recognition of Informal Education” within the framework of the Project
“Life-long vocational training in Eastern Europe”. First Deputy Minister of
Education and Science Ketevan Natriashvili opened the meeting.
Georgia is actively working on the issues of informal education recognition. The goal of the meeting was to compare examples of the recognition concepts, the works conducted in 2012-2013 in Georgia and Ukraine and experience-sharing.
Approaches to the recognition and pilot examples (Ukraine), as well as legal basics (Moldova), differences and similarities among the countries were discussed at the meeting. Further steps were also defined in the course of the meeting.
Representatives of the education system, heads of the agencies working in the field of employment and social partners actively participating in the pilot initiatives in Moldova and Ukraine also discussed methodology aspects in the end of the meeting.
