Conference of teachers of foreign languages

National Center for Teacher Professional Development of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia arranged a two-day conference for teachers of foreign languages. 160 teachers of foreing languages from Tbilisi and the regions attended the meeting.

The conference aimed at:

Encouraging professional development ;
Introducing and share novelties in teaching/learning ;
Raising awareness in the importance of teaching languages in modern world;

The teachers made presentations on the topics such as: traditions and innovations in teaching foreign languages; intercultural dialogue – role of plurilingualism in the formation of 21^st century citizen; inter-cultural communication and education; continuous professional development; teaching foreign languages and technologies.

The teachers were able to listen to the representatives from different international organizations, universities and teacher associations.
