The Ministry shall finance studies of aggrieved students

The
Ministry of Education and Science shall finance studies of the aggrieved
students who live in nearby villages of the borderline. For this reason,
Minister of Education and Science Tamar Sanikidze raised a question on the
Government Session to pass amendments bill to the Law on Higher Education as
soon as possible.
As Tamar Sanikidze noted, the goal of the bill initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science is to promote aggrieved students. It is very important that funds for hundreds of students shall be allocated from the existing budget of the Ministry.
The Ministry has come to the decision of financing studies of the aggrieved students after the occupants have put up barded wires. Coming out from the fact that people in nearby borderline villages of Kareli, Gori, Kaspi and Khashuri have suffered from the occupants’ actions and the families are no longer able to pay for studies of their children, the Ministry shall assist them.
The Ministry shall finance students based on the information provided by the Municipalities.
