Consultants will help pupils to choose a profession

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is starting “Professional Orientation and Career-planning Program”. The Program intended for senior pupils of basic and secondary levels shall start from 2014. The Program aims at helping teenagers to adequately evaluate and develop their skills in order to choose the right profession.

Psychology Center of the Ministry shall select and train the consultants. The Center will also coordinate and monitor their work. The first stage of training is already finished.

103 consultants and 5 coordinators selected as a result of an open contest  have been trained in the following modules:

  • Age peculiarities of a teenager
  • Effective communication
  • Management skills
  • Professional orientation

The consultants will participate in professional orientation and career planning lessons together with head-teachers. They will arrange various activities and ensure provision of the information relevant to the labor market of Georgia.
