Successful school graduates awarded with Gold Medals

Today, Minister of Education and Science Tamar Sanikidze and Deputy Minister Lia Gigauri awarded successful graduates with Gold Medals within “Supporting Gifted and Talented Youth Program.” 780 Gold Medals and 1041 Silver Medals will be awarded in 2013 throughout Georgia. Today, successful pupils of Tbilisi public and private schools were awarded.

Criteria for the candidates are regulated according to the National Curriculum. Together with the first and last names, year is indicated on the medal.

With the aim of raising motivation, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is implementing a number of projects. The goal of awarding pupils with gold and silver medals is to encourage their better academic performance.
