Report of Education Management Information System (EMIS)

Education Management Information System of the Minister of Education and Science summed up the activities completed in 2013. First Deputy Minister of Education Ketevan Natriashvili attended the presentation.   

Head of EMIS Lasha Verulava made a presentation on the projects accomplished in 2013:

  • eFlow – electronic system of document flow
  • CAT – technical support of school leaving examinations 2013
  • eVet – vocational institutions management system
  • Integration of schools in unified network (Internet network)
  • eTurniquet – electronic system of staff performance
  • eRegistry- Registry of general and higher education institutions;
  • “Buki” – educational games
  • eRegistration – electronic registration system
  • Electronic testing system

Current projects:

  • eSchool- School Management Information System/electronic register
  • eStats – monitoring system;
  • Adapting college educational programs in EMIS with modern standards.

Lasha Verulava talked about the future projects:

  • Creation of reserve database centre
  • Renewal of existing server and network infrastructure
  • VoIP telephone communication for public schools;
  • Improvement of electronic registration system of first-graders;
  • eFlow – integrating human resource management and the permits bureau in the system
  • eGIS – geographic information system
  • IT School – elaboration of educational programs on information technologies for pupils
  • Development of a training center etc.

Ketevan Natriashvili thanked EMIS staff and wished them all the success in implementation of new projects in future
