There are eight specialized schools in Georgia. The Ministry has purchased necessary equipment and appliances for these schools.
№200 Public School is one of those schools visited by Minister Tamar Sanikidze today. The Minister wished the pupils a Happy New Year and presented the school with the equipment and household appliances.
There are 130 pupils with special educational needs in the school. Boarding services are available for 60 pupils. The majority of them spend holidays in the school. Tamar Sanikidze attended the play presented by these pupils.
The pupils of specialized schools are learning according to individual programs. The Ministry provides these schools with necessary infrastructure. Currently repair works are under way in №200 School. Soon the boarding school will be renewed and equipped.

Salaries of all Boarding school teachers throughout Georgia have increased in 2013.
Each school with pupils with special educational needs have a special teachers financed by the Ministry.
Complete package of textbooks and literature works printed in Braille transcript for visually impaired pupils for the first time after 50 years
Within Inclusive Education Promotion Program, integrated classes were set up for pupils with sensory (hearing) and autism spectrum disorders in Tbilisi Public Schools №64 and №166. Pupils are able to get educational services adjusted to their needs.
People with special educational needs are able to acquire a vocation. There are 51 persons with special educational needs in State-based Vocational institutions throughout Georgia.
