Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) is starting the implementation of Civil Education Support Project with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. Today, the project presentation was opened by Deputy Minister of Education and Science Lia Gigauri and Janan Atilgen, Director of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung South Caucasus.
The objectives of “Quality Civil Education Support Project in Public Schools” are to strengthen the role of civil society with the help of developing civil participation, to deepen interest of teenagers in civil education and to improve teaching/learning process.
Project goals are:
A training course is planned for civil education teachers. Georgian and German experts shall work on methodological guideline documents together with the representatives of the Ministry. Round tables and thematic conferences will be arranged.
The Project will be implemented in the schools of Samtskhe-Javakheti, Shida Kartli, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Imereti, Adjara and Kakheti regions.
The project is co-financed by the EU and Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and is implemented by KAS in cooperation with Trainer-teachers’ Union “Lampari”.
