Debates were held on “Vocational Education and Trainings in Georgia” with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science. The event was organized by International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University (ISET) in cooperation with Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

This dialogue concerned the topics such as steps taken for reforming Georgian vocational education in order to eliminate deviations of skills and to ensure reflection of demand on workforce supply in terms of qualifications as well as labor ethics.  

As Ketevan Natriashvili, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science noted, it is important to organize working meetings among the representatives of the Government, vocational colleges, on-governmental sector, experts, and civil society, the businesses and business associations with the aim of bringing close labor market demands and vocational education.

Recommendations were made for improving and developing vocational education, the importance of professional standards and qualifications was singled out at the meeting.
