Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Deputy Ministers, representatives of the Ministry and the UNICEF held a meeting with the journalists. The conference was arranged as a part of the UNICEF- funded project “New Challenges and Plans in Education System”.

The goal of the conference was to inform representatives of the Media on the novelties in the areas of general, vocational and higher education that took place in 2013:

• Teachers’ professional development
• Professional orientation and career-planning course
• Safe and healthy school
• E- resources and technologies
• School infrastructure and rehabilitation
• Children left without schooling and inclusive education
• New strategy for vocational education
• New model of financing
• Quality improvement
• Private sector involvement in vocational education
• Inclusive teaching in vocational education
• Novelties in science and higher education

The journalists had an opportunity to ask questions to and receive answers from the Minister, Deputy Ministers and representatives of the UNICEF.
