Winners of the Competition “I am the Ombudsman” were awarded

Competition “I am the Ombudsman” 2013 ended. Today, participants of the competition were awarded at Tbilisi Marriott. Tamar Sanikidze, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Ucha Nanuashvili, Ombudsman of Georgia and Thomas Hemmerberg, Special Representative of the EU in Georgia congratulated the finalists and awarded them.

The Competition is based on network technologies and was conducted by means of the Internet. Archil Talakvadze, initiator and founder of this competition was invited to the event. “I am the Ombudsman” was held for the fourth time in 2013. Posters were distributed in schools before the start of the Competition. The information was spread via the Media sources as well.

I round of the Competition started on the 30th of September with 932 pupils joined in 466 teams. 57 pupils from 27 teams moved into the second round. 10 teams with 20 pupils reached the final round.

The jury, comprised of 4 independent experts was evaluating works of the competitors. All finalists were awarded with certificates and memorable presents. The Competition was held with the support of the Ministry of Education and the financial assistance of the EU project “Promotion of the Office of Public Defender”.
