Registration deadline for those who wish to pass examinations in the form of externat, was approved with the Order of Minister N170 of February 10, 2014. The period for registration starts on February 14, 2014 and ends on February 21, 2014. Period for examinations shall start on March 6, 2014 and last till March 21. 2014.
A person has right to pass extern examinations if his/her age does not exceed the age group of the pupils who are granted the right to pass extern examinations and in case if a person has completed educational program of the previous class/semester.
An adult or a custodian of a juvenile wishing to take extern exams are entitled to submit a statement to an Educational Resource Center together with all necessary documents regarding the desire to take extern examination following these rules:
a) if a person wishing to take extern examinations is a pupil, a written statement has to be submitted to the ERC to which the school belongs;
b) if a person does not go to school, a written statement can be submitted to any ERC;
The following shall be submitted to an ERC:
a) a written statement of an adult or a custodian of a juvenile containing the following:
a.a) Name, surname and contact information (address and a telephone number)
a.b) list of class/classes/semester of general education, also list of subject/subjects taught in a class/semester which a person wishes to pass in the form of externat.
a.c) a language in which a person wishes to pass extern examination (Georgian, Russian, Azerbaijani, and Armenian).
a.d) foreign language/languages in which a person shall pass extern exams, in case of necessity;
a.e) list of class/classes/semester of general education, also list of subject/subjects taught in a class/semester, good marks of which a person wishes to use in order to complete general education in the form of extern examinations;
a.f) selective subject/subjects defined by the National Curriculum a person wishes to pass;
b) a copy of a birth certificate or an ID card;
c) a document, in case of registration, proving that a person has completed educational program of the class/semester which precedes the class/semester a person wishes to complete by means of extern examinations. If a person received education abroad, corresponding document proving completion of educational program must be recognized in compliance with the legislation in force;
d) a document, in case of registration, issued by a school, proving that a person shall pass extern examinations to complete the subject/subjects of a separate class/semester of the secondary level.
Extern examination shall be a written text examination. Exams will be conducted by a school to which a pupil goes.
Extern exams of 12th grade subject/subjects (Georgian Language and Literature, Maths, History, English Language, Civil Defense and Safety) shall be conducted in a centralized, electronic form ( in compliance with the Order of Minister #48 of April 7, 2011)
A person who successfully passes extern examinations will not be awarded silver and gold medal school-leaving certificates
