Minister at Iashvili Children’s Hospital

Minister of
Education and Science of Georgia Tamar Sanikidze visited children suffering
from leukemia at Iashvili Central Hospital. Minister Sanikidze congratulated
their mothers with the Mother’s Day, expressed her support and wished them a
prompt recovery. Tamar Sanikidze expressed hope that soon the children will be
able to attend their classes.
A special room was arranged at the Clinic under the initiative of the Ministry
of Education. The room is properly equipped and supplied with materials.
Teachers form public school 147 go to Iashvili Clinic to give lessons to the
children suffering from leukemia and belonging to 30 different age groups.
9 teachers of Public School 147 have been going to the Clinic on regular
basis since the school year 2013-2014. They deliver lessons together with
multidisciplinary team and the Clinic psychologists. This treatment aims
at rapid rehabilitation of the children.
