The World Bank is one of the leading donors and partners in educational sector. The Ministry of Education has started important interventions in General Education sector since 2013. These are: monitoring of the National Curriculum implementation in order to ensure its quality for every pupil; renewal of teachers’ professional standard; promotion of human resources development in the system of education. 

It was emphasized that the World Bank support in successful implementation of the above-mentioned activities is of utmost importance. The process will ensure harmonization of Georgia’s education system with international educational area.
