An agreement on cooperation in Education and Science signed with Latvia

Minister of Education and Science Tamar Sanikidze and Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia Ina Druviete. The Parties expressed readiness to cooperate in the fields of general, vocational and higher education.  

The abovementioned cooperation covers the following topics:

  • Direct relations between the universities;
  •  Joint educational programs;
  • Exchange programs for students and academic staff;
  • Joint scientific research;
  • Information exchange on bilingual education, vocational qualification framework, professional standards and labor market research topics;
  • Promotion of exchange of strategic and organizational information, expertise, knowledge and materials;
  • Scholarships for students and academic staff to promote their participation in joint summer school schools;
  • Partnership within the framework of UN educational and scientific programs and projects;
  • Cooperation in the process of implementation of innovations (institutional and program accreditation, quality assurance) and activities.

The Parties shall cooperate in the process of organizing trainings, workshops, international conferences, they shall participate in joint sociological research, encourage signing of agreements with the aim of exchanging pupils, students, teachers, professors and scientists.
