Georgian delegation held a working meeting at the US State Department within the framework of the visit to the United States of America.
Members of the Delegation – Tamar Sanikidze, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Deputy Minister Giorgi Sharvashidze, Magda Maghradze, Executive Director of MCA-Georgia, and Elene Jibladze, Head of National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement of the Ministry held a meeting with Wes Carrington, Head of the Europe and Eurasia Division of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the US State Department, Heidy Arreola, Head of “Education in America” Program, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the US State Department and other representatives of the US State Department.
Fulbright and other scholarship programs, current cooperation in educational sector were discussed at the meeting.
Joint exchange programs and the issue of increasing the number of Georgian participants, as well as joint projects and future plans for the development of higher education and schienece were also discussed in the course of the meeting.
