As the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) stated, Georgia shall participate in a Science, Technology, Innovation and Partnership (STIP) program, a unique project shall be elaborated based on the needs of the country covering many aspects of the innovation policy. It is noteworthy that the United States will provide assistance to Georgia among 20 other countries in the field of science and innovations development. 

Members of the Georgian delegation held a meeting with Tom Harkins, Head of the Committee for Education, Health, Labor and Social Affairs and other members of the Committee. The issue of training Georgian PhD students, joint project of Georgian Technical University and the University of Iowa focusing on the development of agrarian studies as well as the issues of future cooperation were discussed at the meeting.  

The meetings held during the official visit of Georgian delegation shall deepen bilateral relations between our countries.
