122 pilot public school principals’ training is under way on the topic “innovative methods of teaching and class monitoring” within the Primary Education Project (G-priEd). This project has been implemented from March 24, 2014 with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the US International Development Agency (USAID). Deputy Minister of Education and Science Lia Gigauri attended the training process.
The aim of this training is to support principals, as teaching process supervisors, in results improving process of the pupils. The training includes a number of important issues:
The aim of Georgian primary education project is to improve elementary class pupils’ results in reading and maths. In order to achieve the goal, innovative training programs for elementary class Georgian language and math teachers on teaching strategies in under way, as well as, the process of implementation of a strategy for continuous professional development program and parents involvement.
Within G-priEd project a wide variety of learning resources are being developed such as: reading materials for students, manipulatives for maths teaching, visual aids, assessments tools and proper equipment.
