Ketevan Natriashvili elected a member of CoE Education Committee Bureau

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Ketevan Natriashvili was elected a member of CoE Education Committee Bureau. Bureau elections are held once in every two years and representatives of all member countries are eligible for participation. 8 members are elected in the Bureau – representatives from official delegations of 4 member countries and from non-governmental and academic organizations –two representatives from each. 

Georgian delegation has raised a number of important issues at the Committee meeting. These issues are: civil and democratic education, second chance of education – access to education, participation in CoE program “Pestalotsi”, higher education quality systems, teaching languages and language policy.  

The Committee is one of the most important units that supervises numerous directions of general and higher education.  Committee Bureau’s role in the process of elaborating educational trends and programs is vital.

Working in the Bureau shall contribute greatly to the process of coming closer to European education system.
