The Minister of Education and Science visited Gurasashvili Vulnerable Family on March, 3, in Rustavi. The Minister congratulated the hostess, Ms. Svetlana with Mother’s Day and presented her 5 children with following items– tape-recorder, computer, literature and toys.

The Minister wished all Georgian ladies happy Mother’s Day from Rustavi   and gave the vulnerable families hope to solve the textbook problems. According to the Ministries decision, all schoolchildren, whose families are registered in the social care program, will receive free textbooks.

By the Minister’s announcement, the ministry is going to improve the National Curriculum, which will not be changed for 5 years. The textbook approval procedures will be strictly checked. The ministry also plans to create the secondary textbook market to give many vulnerable families opportunity of buying books.
