Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and Georgia Primary Education Program (G-PriEd) are actively cooperating on the basis of memorandum signed between USAID and the Ministry, within the frameworks of which implementation of innovative educational approaches is going on, for the purpose of improving of reading and math teaching in I-VI classes and pupils’ results.
Project is also promoting elaboration and implementation of professional development model on the base of school which envisages creation of training groups of teachers under the guidance of teachers-facilitators and support from the school administration in the process. Project is also facilitating inclusion of society and parents in educational process.
During 2013-2015 academic years, 122 pilot schools were included in the Georgia Primary Education Program (G-PriEd).
From April 2015, it is planned to start enlargement phase of Georgia Primary Education Program (G-PriEd) after which 500 public schools in Georgia will have an opportunity to participate in Georgia Primary Education Program (G-PriEd).
Thus, Georgia Primary Education Program (G-PriEd) of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and US Agency for International Development (USAID) is proposing to all public schools in Georgia to take part in announced contest for the purpose of inclusion in the project.
