“Intellect Day 2015” celebrated nationwide

Today “Intellect Day 2015” was officially opened. At the municipal stage, the central square was arranged at Tbilisi First Classical Gymnasium where the game was hosted by the President of the Georgian Intellect Club “What? Where? When?” George Mosidze. Georgian Deputy Minister of Education and Science Lia Gigauri and Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia Rati Bregadze attended the game. They addressed the participating teams with an opening speech and wished them success.

The biggest intellectual competition ‘Intellect Day” started simultaneously in 71 municipalities of Georgia. This is a Georgian competition among pupils in the intellectual game “What? Where? When?”, which for the fourth time has been held this year. 

Today the first municipal stage of the tournament was held and, nationwide, up to 1400 pre-registered schools participated in it. In the municipal round the teams answered 24 questions, and the winners will choose the best team on May 10 in Tbilisi. At the final stage, the teams will answer 36 questions. The winners will be awarded prizes and diplomas.

The project is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia and Georgian Intellect Club “What? Where? When?”. The general partner of the project is Caucasus University, and the partners are Publishing House “Palitra L” and IDS Borjomi Georgia.
