An event dedicated to handing Civic Education textbooks was arranged at Tbilisi public school #150 within the framework of the program “Future Generation”. Lia Gigauri, Georgian Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Nino Buachidze – representative of USAID’s Center of Excellence on Democracy and Governance, and Marina Ushveridze – director of the program “Future Generation” participated in the event.

At the meeting they made a presentation about “Future Generation” and the pupils involved in the project familiarized the guests with the projects and initiatives they had carried out.

The meeting was attended by teachers and pupils from schools partnering with “Future Generation”, by representatives of the program’s partner organization “Tbilisi Youth House Foundation” and by the forum of civic education teachers.

The meeting was organized by the program “Future Generation” which is carried out by PH International – Georgia, with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The program will help 480 schools in every region of Georgia improve the quality of civic education. The schools will be provided with additional textbooks and other learning materials; teachers are given training, the initiative of setting up school civic clubs is supported, pupils and teachers are encouraged to carry out different programs beneficial for the school and society.
