May 4 is International Anti-Bullying Day

On May 4, International Anti-Bullying Day is celebrated. Tbilisi Classical Gymnasium joined in the celebration and unveiled its anti-bully campaign. Tamar Sanikidze, the Georgian Minister of Education and Science, attended the event and joined in the protest.

The week opened with thematic videos made by pupils. At the same time, there was an exhibition of paintings painted by pupils, and a flash mob performed. The perimeter of the school was decorated with anti-bullying symbols in the form of colourful hands. Pupils dressed up in white T-shirts made an anti-bully chain and painted a banner with painted hands. 

Throughout the week various events are planned which include an essay contest, presentations, a meeting with a psychologist and discussions.

The week will conclude with a film made by pupils.
