With the organization of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and support of Ilia Siate University, on June 1, in connection with the International Day for Protection of Children, in the Institute of Botany an exhibition of works of pupils with Special Educational Needs was held where drawings, photos and handmade things were presented made by the pupils.
In connection with this day, Ilia State University organized interesting scientific tour for the pupils arrived from Samtskhe-Javakheti. On special board, pupils could take part in amusing scientific experiments for the directions of biology and chemistry; Pupils who took part in experiments were gifted with certificates of “Beginning scientist”. In the laboratory corner of future industrial innovations of the University, guests got familiarized with the process of making various things by the use of 3D printer. In the course of whole day, corner of computer games laboratory was working for pupils where interested persons had an opportunity to virtually receive information about laboratories of the University. On the scientific boards pupils examined equipment made by the lecturers and students of the University, including a device which is measuring seismic activity.
The pupils also got acquainted with the laboratory existing in the Institute of Botany and herbarium and took part in various contests which were elaborated under the recommendations of the Institute of Child Development of Ilia State University.
The event was musically accompanied by the vocal jazz-band of Ilia State University.
