National Center for Education Accreditation carried out the academic summit which was dedicated to the support of internationalization of education and students mobility. The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ms. Nino Kalandadze, the Professor of International Black Sea University, Ms. Giuli Alasania, as well as the rectors and the representatives of different higher educational institutions took part in the summit.
The participants came to an agreement that Georgian higher educational system and institutions must attract students, young scientists and researchers’ attention through the whole world. The structure of the educational program must create the opportunity of mobility at all three levels of education.
The international exchange and joint programs implementation is on the first step in Georgian educational system. The development of these programs must involve all steps of education, beginning from the school exchange programs to academic education. The Ministry supports the internationalization of higher education as well as the students mobility through the cooperation with the embassies of different countries, international organizations and by implementing different exchange programs.
