In the second housing of public school of village Choga in Chkhorotsku municipality, pupils of primary and basic stages are studying. For years there were not rehabilitation works and pupils were attending lessons in extremely harsh conditions. Because of this, population of the village began to leave it.

According to the decision of Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, in current year housing is undergoing full rehabilitation and from the new educational year, pupils will continue to study in fully renovated school, suitable for modern standards. The school will be equipped with new inventory and accessories, arrangement of school yard is already in process, school building is adapted for kids with special educational needs, school has a school bus. Administration of the school is confident that renovated school will attract many pupils from neighboring villages too.      

Infrastructural statistics

In 2013-2014 years, in the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region, 134 schools, 6 professional colleges and 2 institutions of higher education were rehabilitated. In current year rehabilitation is ongoing in 43 public schools. Rehabilitation and equipping works are continued also in professional and higher educational institutions. Up to 14 000 pupils of 201 schools in the region are using school buses. 9 medical cabinets were arranged. Arrangement of 20 of them is underway.

In Chkhorotsku 9 schools were rehabilitated during 2013-2014 years, rehabilitation of 2 schools is ongoing. 1691 pupils of 19 schools are using school buses in 94 directions.
