Tamar Sanikidze, Misinter of
Education and Science of Georgia, attended a ceremony of parasport promotion
center opening in Tbilisi. The centre was inaugurated by Tbilisi Mayor David
Narmania and Tariel Khechikashvili, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of
Georgia. Yet another ultramodern sport complex was added to Tbilisi. This
facility is especial with the feature that it is dedicated to the athletes -
disabled persons and this is unique not only for our country but for a whole
region.
The complex is multi-functional and gives all opportunities to parasportsmen and their trainers to prepare in various sports, also perform rehabilitation and physiotherapy courses.
There are all conditions created in the center to host parasport tournaments, not only in the scale of Tbilisi and Georgia but also receive foreign parasportsmen and host international tournaments in various sports.
Support for and care on disabled persons and pupils with special educational needs is a priority for the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. Therefore, Ministry is hailing the opening of parasport promotion center and hopes that many successful athletes will be raised here.
