Meeting with Jülich Research Centre

A meeting was held in scope of strategic cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and German Jülich Research Centre (FZJ). The meeting was led by the minister of education and science Tamar Sanikidze.

Representatives of consortium of Jülich Centre and Georgian Universities (Georgian Technical University, Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Ilia State University) attended the meeting.

Issues of future development a long term scientific and educational cooperation between the consortium and German Jülich Research Center Institutes (Research Institute of Energy and Climate – IEK, Nuclear Physics Institute – IKP, Institute of Nueroscience and Medicine, Jülich Neutron Science Centre – JCNS, Central Institute of Engineering, Electronics and Analyzis) were discussed at the meeting.

Cooperation with Jülich Centre will increase involvement of Georgian students and scientists into research processes of Jülich Centre, so that they will share international experience, contact their colleges and become representatives of international scientific society. Students of three Georgian state universities will have an opportunity to get an international document of qualification.

The consortium of German Jülich Research Centre and Georgian state universities will assist Georgian scientists in returning to Georgia and will provide laboratory equipment and working environment for them.
