In order to get an international accreditation for the MA program in Public Administration developed by the co-operation of TSU law faculty and German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer , in December 2013 the agreement was signed with the international accreditation organization FIBAA.
By the decision of the accreditation council of FIBAA issued on June 19 2015, the MA program “Public Administration” received international accreditation without recommendations and notes for 5 years, which is an unprecedented event in the history of Georgian universities.
“Public Administration” -the joint interdisciplinary MA program of Ivanje Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer is functioning since December 2009. The aim of the program is to prepare highly qualified specialists of European standards in the administration field based on theoretical and practical education. Georgian and German professors are reading lectures for 2 years. The first year of the program provides practice of students in Georgian public services; the second year is trip to city Speyer (Germany) for the summer school; it also includes several month practice in the one of the member states of the organization of economic co-operation and development.
