Georgian representatives at the international contest

The winners of the Competition – World Skills Georgia, students of professional colleges, are attending now the International Vocational Skills Competition in Brazil. World Skills- s 43rd international tournament held in the city of San Paulo on August 11-16, 2015. Six students are representing Georgia in Sao Paolo. Who won the World Skills Georgia-'s second national championship in December 2014. The competition was held in the six professions - Welding, web-design, kitchen work, restaurant service, floristic and hear cutting.

The winner students are Malkhaz chipchiuri, Andro Velichko, George Cheishvili, Leonardo Stepanov, Anna Vashadze and Lia Bulauri. The winners of this competition (the first place winners in each profession) are taking part in a world championship. In World skills-'s scope the government for the first time holds a meeting, which will be attended by high-level officials from 64 countries. The meeting aims to discuss about the issues of the development of vocational education and the agreement about the cooperation. Accordingly, there are following officials  in Georgian delegation encouraging  the representatives of our country: the Ministry of Education and Science Tamar Sanikidze, Deputy Minister Ketevan Natriashvili, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Mr. Otar Berdzenishvili, the Counselor / Consul Catherine Rekhviashvili, the representative of German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) Eka Kharabadze, representative of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Anna Berichvili, the representative of the Ministry of Innovation and technology Agency, National Center for organizational Development Department Marina Zhvania, Tbilisi Development Fund Advisor Mr. Barbakadze Millennium Challenge Fund in Georgia, government, business and public relations director George Kopaleishvili, Maka Beraia team leader. Experts: Gabriel Vatitadze - Oil and Gas Corporation; Zurab Shevardnadze - the Patriarch’s  decorative gardening community college teacher, "gardenia" owner; Sergo karakozovi - Project Manager IT Development Center; Rodham Khidesheli professional college "Icarus," teacher "Shangrila", the chef; Natia Morchiladze - "Natalie Academy" CEO; Ilya Saganelidze - professional college "Icarus", in "Radisson Blu Iveria", events manager.

World skills Georgia is a scale project, under which professional skills competition are held every year, which is the world-class standards of profession as well as a chance to reveal successful young people. The project started in 2012 and the Ministry of National Education Development Center carries it out with technical support of the German Society for International Cooperation ( GIZ ) and active involvement of the private sector.
