The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia determined deadlines for First-graders registration from April 23, 2015 to July 11, 2015 for 2015-2016 academic years. The registration was divided in 3 stages and nowadays 46600 first-graders are registered in public and private schools of Tbilisi.

Despite the fact that the registration deadline was long enough there still were hundreds of parents’ references missing the registration process.

That is why 1-2 September was determined as an additional deadline for the children, whose age is consistent with statutory requirements but they are not still registered.

The registration will be carried out on the webpage of the Education Management Information System http://registration.emis.ge/ only for the schools having vacancies. Filing the essential documents for enrolling of the registered students will be implemented in the educational institutions on 3-4 September.

The list of the essential documents for enrolling the first-graders in the educational institutions are listed below:

1. The student’s legal representative’s statement must include information about the residential address and phone number.

2. Notarized copy of the birth certificate or identity document.

3. The document confirming the students assigned personal number issued by the Public Legal Entity, the Public Service Development Agency or its Territorial Service Office.

Schools have the rights to request additionally student’s photos and other documents.
