Infrastructural projects have been carried out at Gori #4 public school, which was funded by The US Defense Department s European Command and was carried out by The US Embassy s Office of Defense Cooperation. The presentation of the project has been held which was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Tamar Sanikidze and Deputy Minister of Defence Ann Dolidze, Acting US Ambassador Nicholas Berliner and other honorable guests.
Within the framework of the project, rehabilitation works was carried out at #4 Gori public school include renewal of sport stadium, painting corridors, ramp for pupils with special needs, and fencing the school yard.
7 engineers of 435th subunit and 3 officers of 457th Civil Affairs Battalion from US came to Georgia and personally performed repair works with 12 engineers of Ministry of Defense Engineering Brigade.
The ministry of Education and Science of Georgia carried out infrastructural works at #4 Gori public school as well. Specifically, damaged part of the roof, external doors, stair railing leading to the basement have been rehabilitated. Besides that, it is planned to arrange the elevator and the school adaptation will finish. It should be mentioned that school has 6 pupils using wheelchair, and in total, 28 pupils with special educational needs study at school. Accordingly, school has resource rom and adapted bus.
