Minister of Education and Science of Georgia,Tamar Sanikidze visited several schools in Tbilisi and got acquainted with preparation process for a new academic year. Minister saw the text books which the students will be given to for a new academic year. Tamar Sanikidze got also interested in rehabilitation works taking place at school.

At the same day, Tamar Sanikidze visited #11 Public school, one of the largest contingent schools, where 1120 pupils study. The school was heavily damaged for years and required urgent rehabilitation, learning process at several wings of the school was completely stopped.

 During 2013-2015, construction works have been carried out, Improved critical condition of the school infrastructure, library and computer rooms have been designed and equipped with all the necessary inventories, school assembly hall has been arranged, indoor stairs have been reconstructed. 10 pupils with special needs study at school and the resource room was designed especially for them last year. Special teacher takes care of their education. At this stage, rehabilitation works are carried out at classrooms and corridors located at three floors, which will be finished for new academic year. The complete rehabilitation of the school will be finished after the school gym restoration, which is also planned as well.
