From the beginning of a new academic year, the new scheme has been launched which is about teacher career start, professional development and career progression. The main objective of the project is to improve the quality of learning and therefore to get better general education system. It should be noted that the educator salary increases with the career developments.

Long-term preparation works preceded the launching of mentioned program. All the interested sides started from critic teachers ended with Georgian and foreign experts were introduced to the draft version of teacher professional standard. All of the shared interesting and necessary remarks and recommendations were reflected in the project, which will be implemented by the Teacher Professional Development Center.

The Minister of education and science of Georgia and other representatives were introduced to the communication strategy within the framework of professional development scheme. Representatives of teacher house presented the activities which are planned to be carried out during the whole year. Every activity or phases which teachers have to do are outlined in the strategic plan. Accordingly, the schools, school principals, facilitators and other evaluation groups chosen by the school will be retrained
