Within the framework of WorldSkill Georgia and through the assistance of German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), nationwide vocational education week has been held. The final event was held today in National Youth Palace, which was attended by Tamar Sanikidze.
During the event, the students of vocational education institutions exhibited their works, music performances and the prize giving ceremony took place as well.
In order to increase the awareness of the society, the representatives of The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, GIZ and the winner students of WorldSkills Georgia visited the vocational education program institutions with the VET branded buss. They met local inhabitants accompanied by the local authorities, handed information booklets about vocational education and responded their questions. Within the framework of mentioned week, open door days were held.
During the open door days there was a special display area, where the establishments had represented their stands, leaflets, catalogs of educational programs, works by students and etc.
It should be said that, the week coincided with the registration period for the vocational programs, which played an important role in high awareness of applicants. Open door days were attended by applicants, student and their parents, partner organizations of colleges, representatives of self-government and other interested individuals.
