Minister of Education and Science of Georgia held a meeting with Nuclear research European Organization CERN scientific Doctor Sergio Bertoluchi and CERN international relationship office advisor Christoph Shefer.
At the meeting, joint initiative of the government and ‘Qartu’ fund was discussed, which involves the establishment of the research group. The initiative belongs to former prime minister of Georgia, Bidzina Ivanishvili. Through this project, hadron therapy modern of technology development center will be established. The mentioned scientific center will be built by fund ‘Qartu’. The total cost of the projects are half million dollars.
It should be said that the government of Georgia reviewed and approved the bill which was developed by the commission created by the government. The bill is named ‘about the scientific-educational center of development of modern technologies around the mega-project of LEPL Technological Institution and Hadron Therapy’. The draft proposal has already been submitted to parliament. On the basis of the bill, Technological institution and Scientific Centre of technological development will be established.
