A project of Reducing the Problems Caused by AD/HD (Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder) at Schools, implemented by the Institute of Strategy and Development was presented on at the first experimental school.
The First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Koka Seperteladze, the authors, supporters of the project as well as the teachers and the parents involved in it attended the presentation.
The project was implemented by financial support of Civil Institutionalism and Development Fund. The goal of the pilot project was to eliminate the problems caused by AD/HD and to take the preventive measures in the secondary classes.
38 schoolchildren (6-9-year) with AD/HD syndromes were identified in the scope of the project.
53 teachers were trained in order to be acknowledged with the working methods of the syndrome. Besides, the theoretical knowledge was carried out in practice. 27 psychologists, together with the tutors were observing the results.
In the framework of the project, the report of information and recommendation was prepared to increase the effective working in this sphere. Considering the success of this project, other similar projects with several directions will be implemented more broadly.
