“Film in Schools”of project - Conclusive Evening

Tbilisi Concert Hall hosted the conclusive evening of the project “Film in Schools” today. Winner of 10 best film schools were awarded by the Ministry of Education and Science, Minister Tamar sanikidze and Minister of Culture and Monument protection of Georgia Mikheil giorgadze. The Minister of Culture and Monument Protection, Mikheil Giorgadze and the Minister of Education and Science, Tamar Sanikidze awarded the authors of 10 best posters on the project thematic. At the event, the short films by Georgian professional filmmakers – Data Pirtskhalava and Tato Kotetishvili and also the films screened by Film School students were represented. The schools participating in the project were awarded with special certificates. The project is oriented on film education promotion and aims at development of critical way of thinking and creative skills of adults.

The event was attended by the beneficiaries about 2000 of the Center, involved in the project since October. The project cooperates with Center for Crime Prevention.

The project is implemented by the National Film Center with support by the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection. The project is oriented on film education promotion and aims at development of critical way of thinking and creative skills of adults.

The project involved 207 school-children from 102 villages of Georgian regions, including from the villages adjacent to the occupation line and highland villages. Such as Shuaphkho, Gebi, Ganmukhuri, Koki, Grey, Pankisi Gorge, Ergneti, knolevi.

The project was launched in 2014 and initially covered 40 schools from 5 regions. The new season starts in March, 2016.
