The Minister of Science and Education  Ms.Tamar Sanikidze awarded the excellent pupils with golden medals. Number of pupils that were given golden medals is 1550, and silver - 950.  480 pupil were awarded in Tbilisi’s scale.

Within the program of ‘supporting talented pupils’ golden medal is presented to the pupil whose mark is 10 without rounding. Silver medal is given to the pupil whose mark is 9.8 or higher.

In order to increase pupil’s motivation the Ministry is implementing many projects. Among which is  the giving medals, which aim  is to motivate pupils to get higher academic grade.
