In order to develop the entrepreneurial skills, The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia in collaboration with the Georgian Chamber of Commerce, developed new textbooks with guidelines for the students and teachers alike.
Entrepreneurship is an optional subject, amongst the list of subjects of 2015-2016 academic year, and undergoes the process of implementation in 221 public schools. Today, there was a business meeting with the teachers of Entrepreneurship at the Ministry of Education and Science.
The meeting aimed at receiving information from the teachers, to understand if the course introduction is going properly, what kind of challenges do the teachers face, and what type of support will they need from the private sector. The information is necessary to provide an effective and result-oriented entrepreneurship course.
Subject - "Basics of Entrepreneurship" develops the planning and organizational skills amongst youth, as well as helping them to make a correct choice, that can turn a particular idea into a business that generates income, and gives the individual full capacity for self-actualization, self-expression and self-employment. Also, the subject will help the students to make the right decision in choosing a profession.
Owing to the Government initiative, in order to develop entrepreneurship at schools, a number of works have been executed. Additionally, a standard has been developed.
