A Supervisory Board meeting was held at Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation. The Council is composed of the world s outstanding foreign and local scientists and government members. The Council is chaired by the Minister of Education and Science - Tamar Sanikidze. The Supervisory Board of the Fund is a collegial body, which meets twice a year in order to manage and review of the Fund’s 6 months’ worth of performance, their future strategic issues and the action plan.
The meeting discussed: the 2015 Annual Report, the 2016 action plan, the evaluation of the revised procedures and criteria for assessing the effectiveness of the grants.
The Fund co-workers presented the Fund Board with the international competitions expertise and the assessment models for small grants. Also, the members of the Supervisory Board introduced changes in the grant programs, the opportunities for the scientists’ database improvement, the internal audit report, and the results of the international cooperation.
