On the basis of being San Diego State University partner universities – Tbilisi State University and Georgian Technical University had its laboratories renovated and equipped with modern appliances. A total space of 1688 square meters – including seven lecture rooms and two laboratories were rehabilitated. There are renovation works planned to be executed at the third partner university – Ilia State University.
Today, The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Tamar Sanikidze, the director of Millenium Challenge Georgia Fund – Magda Maghradze and the Dean of San Diego University – Ken Walsh, visited the newly renovated chemistry lab, which is an exact prototype of what laboratories are offering to the students at San Diego University. With the help of modern laboratories, students have the opportunity to receive American education in Georgia.
San Diego State University (SDSU), the Millennium Challenge Account - of higher education component of Georgia, carries a high-quality, internationally accredited (ABET, ACS, WASC) undergraduate programs in engineering and technology (STEM) fields. Participants will receive an American diploma. These programs will support Georgia in the fields of natural science and technological development, in conjunction with creating a highly skilled work force for the labor market. The project is being implemented by the US Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) second compact financial support.
